Kilmarnock & The Ulster Covenant

On the 28th September 1912 just under 500,000 men & women signed the Ulster Covenant

During a search online, one of our members came across a website documenting the original Covenant signings and we have discovered that 1038 people signed the Ulster Covenant in the old Kilmarnock Borough (1912) which included the towns of Kilmarnock, Rutherglen, Dumbarton & Port Glasgow.

31 signed in Kilmarnock, under agent, William Richard of 23 Fullerton Street, Kilmarnock (see above) and there is also a reference to 100 people signing at an Orange Hall which is now an ongoing investigation to whether that was in Kilmarnock or in an outlining area.
